Renowned for his contributions to Turkish theater and screen projects, master actor Koray Ergun has passed away at the age of 68. Koray Ergun's Health Struggle and Final Days

Koray Ergun's health issues first came to light last February when he sought hospital treatment complaining of weakness in his right hand. Following comprehensive examinations, an MRI and tomography scans revealed a 3 cm tumor in his brain. After this diagnosis, Ergun began his treatment and fought a significant battle to regain his health.

Hopeful Surgery and the Subsequent Sad News

There had been hopeful developments regarding the artist's condition. It was reported that on February 6, 2025, a micro-surgical operation lasting approximately 5 hours successfully removed the entire tumor from his brain. After being moved out of intensive care post-surgery, Ergun expressed his gratitude to his friends on social media, finding solace. However, despite all these efforts, the veteran actor has passed away.

Ergun's Place in Art and His Hiatus from Plays

Due to his health condition, Koray Ergun had to take a break from the highly acclaimed play "Memleketin Kısmeti," staged at the Ankara Ekin Theater. Ergun, who had captured the hearts of audiences with his stage energy and acting prowess, focused on his health during this hiatus.
