Ufuk Özkan, who was diagnosed with cirrhosis approximately two years ago and has been undergoing treatment, has seen his health significantly worsen in recent days. Consequently, Özkan has been admitted to the hospital with an urgent need for a liver transplant. His brother, Umut Özkan, shared concerning information about the actor's current health status. Umut Özkan expressed the family's and fans' anxiety, saying, "My brother's condition is unfortunately very serious."
Umut Özkan provided important details about his brother's health to the press waiting outside the hospital. Emphasizing that the process is highly sensitive, Özkan stated, "We have conducted all necessary tests and are eagerly awaiting the results. My brother's condition is unfortunately very serious. Doctors absolutely do not permit him to leave the hospital until a suitable donor is found. Our sole focus right now is the transplant process."
Umut Özkan highlighted that the most crucial elements for Ufuk Özkan during this challenging period are morale and motivation. Özkan noted that visits and hygiene are of vital importance at this stage, adding: "Yesterday, his actor friends visited to lift his spirits; however, we are also exercising extreme caution against the risk of infection. Currently, my brother can only be nourished through an IV drip. Our medical team is managing the process with great meticulousness, and we are grateful for their support."
