Born on April 5, 1928, in Mersin, Haldun Dormen is one of the most significant figures in Turkish theater. He made his mark on the industry by founding Dormen Theater in 1955. In 1961, he directed 'Irma La Douce,' the first Western musical staged in Turkey. Dormen, who also directed films like 'Bozuk Düzen' and 'Güzel Bir Gün İçin,' had his life documented in the film 'Yaparsın Şekerim'.
