İbrahim Tatlıses, one of the legendary names of Turkish music, has recently been in the spotlight due to his personal life. It has emerged that Tatlıses has filed a complaint against his daughter, Dilan Çıtak, who is currently competing on the reality show Survivor in the Dominican Republic. This development has caused a significant stir in the entertainment world.
The origin of the incident dates back to a breakfast last year in Bodrum. Dilan Çıtak threw a remote control she was holding, and an investigation was launched after this action was considered a 'weapon'. İbrahim Tatlıses testified at the Bitez Courthouse as part of this investigation. Although Tatlıses withdrew his complaint after the incident, the case had turned into a public prosecution.
İbrahim Tatlıses, appearing in court as part of the public prosecution, stated that he was filing a complaint against his daughter, Dilan Çıtak. This situation highlights the extent of the tension between father and daughter. It was also learned that Tatlıses postponed two concerts planned as part of his Germany tour to be able to give this testimony.
While these developments were unfolding, Dilan Çıtak's statements from the Survivor island drew attention. Making a veiled reference to her estranged father, İbrahim Tatlıses, Çıtak said on the show: "People think that I have someone behind me and that I have gotten somewhere thanks to that person. Quite the opposite... It's because of those people that I haven't been able to reach the place I deserve and should be." These words carry significant clues about her relationship with her father.
