He completed his primary and secondary education in İzmit before attending İstanbul Erkek Lisesi as a boarding student. His interest in theatre began during his high school years, laying the foundation for his future career. He received his formal acting education at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University State Conservatory, Department of Theatre, where his disciplined training contributed significantly to the refinement of his performances on both stage and screen.
Astepe began his professional career in 2008 as a costume assistant in the film Osmanlı Cumhuriyeti before transitioning into acting shortly thereafter. His breakthrough in television came with his role as Orhan Kara in the series Karadayı. He later gained widespread recognition for his portrayal of Tahir Kaleli in Sen Anlat Karadeniz, a performance that earned him the “Best TV Series Couple” award at the 45th Golden Butterfly Awards.
